Measuring time–in stitches

round crochet motif in cottonI had to take my car for annual inspection and some routine maintenance. All the service bays, the parking lot, and the curb on both sides of the shop were packed, but I was fine with having to wait. I had my crochet bag with me.

So how long did the service take? I didn’t wear a watch, but from the time I pulled in to the time I paid my bill, I’d made…14 motifs.

It takes 12 of these circles (plus some junk material and joining, but I can’t measure time in joins) to complete this particular project, and I will need to make at least 5 complete “this projects.” So. Almost 1/5 done! It was otherwise wasted time, well spent.

many motifsI know, I know, I’m being cagey. WHAT project? Well, that’s another post for another day. *wink*
